Dr Nicola Morley attend the Joint European MagnetismSymposium (JEMS) in Glasgow between the 22nd to the 26th
August 2016. JEMS is the most important and comprehensive conference on
magnetism in Europe, covering topics ranging from strongly correlated systems,
materials for energy and spintronics. She presented two oral presentations
titled “Electric field control of the Magnetic properties of multiferroic
heterostructures” and “Tuning phase transitions and the magnetocaloric effect
of La(Fe,Si)13 alloys”. She also presented a poster titled “Magnetostrictive
materials for aerospace applications” and was a deputy editor for the conference
